A few weeks ago, we were proud to support the Driffield Steam Fair, at the Driffield Showground, one of the region’s most popular annual events and a real highlight of the summer calendar. With so much happening throughout the weekend – from main ring attractions and parades to announcements about parking, lost property, and safety updates – information needed to reach visitors clearly and promptly. Using our commentary unit, equipped with multiple microphones and radio systems, we ensured commentators and organisers could deliver announcements without interruption. Outdoor events can present particular challenges for sound, with changing weather conditions, large open spaces, and background noise all having an impact.
