Supporting the Get Caked Charity Event at Sledmere Estate
Last Sunday, R & J PA Hire were proud to support the Get Caked charity event at the stunning Sledmere Estate, supplying a small PA system for announcements and music throughout the day.
The event raised vital funds for Dove House Hospice, along with other charitable causes, and brought together an incredible community of runners, walkers, volunteers and supporters.

A Mud-Filled 8K Challenge
With over 350 participants taking part, Get Caked was far more than just a run. The 8k challenge tested everyone involved, with a course that included plenty of mud, water, hills, slides and hay bales — ensuring that no one reached the finish line without a smile (and a fair bit of dirt!).
A Fantastic Atmosphere from Start to Finish
From early morning arrivals through to the final finishers, the atmosphere was positive, supportive and full of energy.
The weather was kind, helping create ideal conditions for both participants and spectators, and Sledmere Estate once again provided a fantastic setting for a large-scale outdoor charity event.

Our role on the day was to provide clear, reliable sound for the organisers, ensuring that announcements could be heard across key areas of the site.
From welcome messages and safety briefings to music that helped keep spirits high, having a dependable PA system played an important part in helping the event run smoothly.
