There’s nothing quite like the sound of horsepower echoing across the Yorkshire countryside. This September, the Tractor Pulling event at Bunkers Hill, Emley Moor once again brought together competitors, spectators, and volunteers for an unforgettable weekend of action. With three days scheduled from Friday through Sunday, the event promised big engines, big crowds, and plenty of excitement.

Battling Against the Weather
While the engines roared on Friday and again on Sunday, Saturday was unfortunately a complete washout. Heavy, persistent rain set in from early morning and continued all day, making it impossible for the tractors to compete safely. Despite the cancellation of Saturday’s programme, the organisers, teams, and spectators kept their spirits high – a true reflection of the determination that makes tractor pulling such a unique sport.
By Sunday, conditions had improved enough for the event to resume. Fans were treated to the sight and sound of mighty machines pulling heavy sleds down the track, showcasing both power and endurance.
