R & J PA Hire is delighted to be supporting the Winestead Heritage Weekend 2026, an exciting two-day charity event bringing an impressive collection of heritage vehicles, working machinery, local produce and family entertainment to Winestead in East Yorkshire.

Organised in support of East End Cancer Relief, registered charity number 1203049, the weekend will take place on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October 2026.
The event will be open from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm on Saturday and from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm on Sunday.
Visitors can look forward to a packed weekend celebrating our local heritage while helping to support an extremely worthwhile cause.

What to Expect at Winestead Heritage Weekend 2026
The Winestead Heritage Weekend will bring together an extensive collection of historic vehicles and working machinery.
Attractions currently planned include:
- Stationary engines
- Steam engines
- Vintage cars
- Classic tractors
- Vintage lorries
- Land Rovers
- Motorbikes
- The Yorkshire Knights
- Fairground attractions
- Local produce and handmade items
- Food and refreshment stalls
These exhibits will provide visitors with an opportunity to see vehicles and machinery from different eras while meeting the owners and enthusiasts who preserve them.
From the sound and movement of working steam engines to displays of traditional tractors, commercial vehicles and classic motorcycles, there should be something to interest visitors of all ages.

The Yorkshire Knights Performing on Both Days
One of the major attractions appearing throughout both days will be The Yorkshire Knights.
The Yorkshire Knights are a group of like-minded performers who provide exciting and educational entertainment—or “edutainment”—across the North of England.
Their impressive work combines skilled horsemanship, horse training, skill-at-arms and theatrical displays performed on horseback. Their appearances offer audiences an opportunity to witness the special relationship between horse and rider while enjoying an entertaining live performance.
The group also provides horses, riders and performers for photographic shoots, television and film productions, as well as live appearances at events of all sizes.
Visitors to the Winestead Heritage Weekend 2026 will be able to see The Yorkshire Knights in action on both Saturday and Sunday.

Frank Hill & Son Auction on Saturday
Saturday’s programme will include an auction conducted by Frank Hill & Son.
The auction will add another interesting element to the opening day and should attract buyers, collectors and visitors interested in heritage machinery and rural life.
Further information about the auction and the items being entered will be announced by the event organisers when available.
Holderness Hunt Hounds on Sunday
On Sunday, visitors will also have the opportunity to see the Holderness Hunt Hounds.
Their appearance will add to the traditional countryside character of the weekend and provide another memorable attraction for families and heritage enthusiasts.
Sunday will also feature a car boot sale, giving visitors an opportunity to browse a varied selection of stalls and perhaps uncover a bargain or two.
Local Produce, Handmade Items and Trade Stalls
The Heritage Weekend will celebrate more than machinery and vehicles. Numerous local producers, makers and stallholders are expected to attend throughout the weekend.
Visitors will be able to browse a wonderful selection of locally produced goods, including:
- Homemade jams
- Fresh bread
- Cakes and sweet treats
- Locally handmade gifts
- Craft items
- Independent trade stalls
Supporting local producers and small businesses is an important part of community events such as this, and the organisers are working hard to offer visitors an enjoyable and varied selection.
Food and Refreshments Throughout the Weekend
There will be plenty of food and refreshments available on both days.
The planned selection includes tea and coffee, fish and chips, a hog roast, Greek food, pizza from Mam! A’hm ’ere! and ice cream.
Whether you are visiting for a few hours or spending the whole day exploring the displays and watching the main-ring entertainment, there should be something available for everyone to enjoy.
The RNLI and Peacock & Binnington (P&B) are also expected to be involved, alongside numerous other organisations, exhibitors and attractions that are still being arranged.
Family-Friendly Facilities
The organisers want the Heritage Weekend to be welcoming and accessible for families and visitors of all ages.
Toilet facilities will be available throughout the event, including disabled toilets and baby-changing facilities.
With heritage displays, horseback performances, fairground attractions, food, shopping and entertainment, the weekend is shaping up to be an excellent community occasion.

R & J PA Hire Supporting the Main Ring
R & J PA Hire will be providing professional sound, communications and commentary facilities throughout the weekend.
Our support will include:
- A commentary unit for the main ring
- Professional outdoor PA equipment
- Speakers positioned around the main-ring area
- Radio microphones
- Live commentary throughout Saturday and Sunday
- Two-way radios for the event organisers
- An additional unit for use as the event office
- Installation, testing and on-site technical support
Clear announcements and commentary will help visitors follow the programme, learn more about the exhibits and enjoy performances from attractions including The Yorkshire Knights.
The two-way radios will also give the organisers and event team reliable communication across the site, helping everyone coordinate activities and respond quickly when required.
As a family-run East Yorkshire business, we are particularly pleased to support this revived local event that is bringing the community together and raising money for charity.
Supporting East End Cancer Relief
The Heritage Weekend is being organised in support of East End Cancer Relief, and a great deal of time and effort is going into planning the occasion.
Charity events rely heavily on the dedication of organisers, volunteers, exhibitors, performers, sponsors, traders and members of the public. Everyone attending or supporting the weekend will be helping the charity continue its valuable work.
Plans are still developing, so additional displays, stalls and attractions may be announced as the event approaches.
Every visitor to the Winestead Heritage Weekend 2026 will be helping to support this important local charity.
